Hey fellow Houstonians. I'm Scott. I hope you find this site useful. I decided to put it together after growing frustrated with manually combing the HCAD database every year for comparable properties when protesting my property taxes. I put this together in my spare time over the 2024 winter holiday as an excuse to learn about working with databases. This website is built using the Flask web framework (Python) and hosted on Heroku. The database is hosted with CockroachDB.
The data used by this website comes from the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD) and is publicly available. Please note that while every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, no guarantees are provided.
